But the factors that decide a booking fee are predictable, and once you understand them you can set a realistic budget before you ever send an enquiry. This guide is the map.
Why we work in bands, not price lists
Artist fees are negotiated per date and shift with demand, season, and availability. Any fixed "price list" you see online is either outdated or a guess. So instead of misleading numbers, we plan in budget bands and match the strongest talent to yours:
- Emerging — the most accessible band. Genuinely exciting live acts building their name; ideal for smaller sangeets, college slots, and intimate events.
- Mid-range — established singers, live bands, and in-demand DJs. The sweet spot for most large weddings and corporate shows.
- Premium — well-known names with strong pull and a polished live show.
- Marquee / A-list — the biggest Bollywood, music, and celebrity names, for flagship weddings and headline brand moments.
What moves you between bands
- The artist's tier and current demand — the single biggest lever.
- Your date — peak wedding season (Nov–Feb) and festival dates cost more; a midweek or off-season date gives you room.
- Format and set length — a short appearance costs far less than a full live concert with a band.
- City and travel — an out-of-town or destination event adds the artist team's travel and stay.
- Production — stage, sound, lighting, and LED are usually a separate line; for a headline act they need to be done properly.
